Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Vih Buddhi ("Service"), provided by Vih Research Labs ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service at buddhi.vihresearchlabs.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Vih Buddhi is an AI-powered email intelligence platform that:

• Syncs emails from your connected Gmail account(s) with your consent
• Classifies and analyzes emails using machine learning (category, priority, sentiment, intent, entities, summaries, action recommendations)
• Generates daily intelligence reports
• Provides AI-drafted email replies that you may send via the platform
• Delivers notifications via WhatsApp based on rules you configure (optional)

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
• You must have a valid Gmail account to connect
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction
• You must not be barred from using the Service under applicable law

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other accounts, or systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to send spam, phishing emails, or harmful content
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use automated scripts to collect data from the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent

5. Gmail Integration & OAuth

• You grant Vih Buddhi permission to access your Gmail data via Google OAuth 2.0
• We request gmail.readonly and gmail.send scopes
• You may revoke access at any time via Settings or your Google Account permissions page
• Upon revocation or account disconnection, we will delete all associated data (cascade deletion)
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect and process the emails in your Gmail account

6. AI-Generated Content

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI outputs
• You are solely responsible for any email you send (including AI-drafted replies you approve and send)
• The Service is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, medical, etc.)

7. Email Sending via Platform

When you use the "Send Reply" feature to send emails through our platform:

• Emails are sent using your Gmail account via Google's Gmail API
• You are the sender of record; we are merely the conduit
• You are responsible for the content of emails you send
• Sent emails are subject to Google's Terms of Service and Gmail's sending limits

8. WhatsApp Notifications

• WhatsApp notifications are optional and require you to explicitly configure rules and provide your WhatsApp number
• Notifications are sent via a third-party provider (Engagenest)
• Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply
• WhatsApp deliverability is subject to WhatsApp Business Platform policies, including the 24-hour messaging window and template approval requirements
• We are not liable for delayed or failed WhatsApp delivery

9. Service Availability

• We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• We may suspend or modify the Service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues
• We reserve the right to limit or discontinue features at any time

10. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including all software, designs, logos, and content, is owned by Vih Research Labs and protected by intellectual property laws
• You retain all rights to the content of your emails and the data you provide
• You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service

11. Fees & Billing

The Service is currently offered on a free plan. We may introduce paid plans in the future with advance notice. Any paid features will be clearly marked.

12. Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time by contacting hello@vihresearchlabs.ai
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive or illegal behavior
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIH RESEARCH LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED INR 1,000 (OR THE FEES PAID TO US IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER).

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vih Research Labs and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
